Since the release of the first version of NOD anti-virus system more than ten years ago, a number of unique technological innovation were implemented in this state-of-the-art suite of programs. Unprecedented scanning speed and reliability of this multiple award winning code is partly due to the assembler programming of the critical modules of the system.

Technical overview
Each product version of NOD32 is built upon the same unique state-of-the-art engine, the performance of which dominates the antivirus world. NOD sets the standard for other virus infiltration detection systems to follow.

NOD32 for Microsoft Windows NT / 2000 / XP
Provides "on-demand protection" for all home/office PCs running Microsoft Windows NT/2000 or XP. (Server versions available.)
NOD32 for MS-DOS
Software for MS-DOS compatible PCs. With NOD32 for MS-DOS you can remove even those worms and viruses which cannot be dealt with in Microsoft Windows environment due to their hard-to-kill nature.
NOD32 for UNIX
It is no industry secret - everybody knows native UNIX viruses are rare. Still, an anitivirus system for UNIX make sense. In many heterogeneous networks viruses and worms pass through UNIX systems to infect their targets on other platforms. NOD32 for UNIX is capable of preventing such problems.
NOD32 for Novell
Centralized protection for Novell Netware servers versions 4.x and 5.x. Consists of two NLM modules - AMON.NLM (the on-access scanner) and NOD32.NLM (the on-demand scanner).
NOD32 for Lotus Domino Server
A few years ago it took weeks for viruses to become widespread. Today the world is much better connected - now it takes only minutes to infect thousands of computers via e-mail. NOD32 for Lotus Domino Server provides centralized on-access scanning of electronic mail in Lotus Domino R5.
NOD32 for Exchange Server
The fastest and most efficient way to spread viruses today is via e-mail. The worms and viruses which cause major problems are mostly spread by means of e-mail. NOD32 for Exchange Server provides on-line scanning of e-mail in the Microsoft Exchange Server environment.
NOD's heuristic analysis, in addition to targeting the traditional virus families, detects also the fast growing macro viruses mutations on Office 97, 2000 and XP platforms. NOD's heuristics has made, yet another pioneering step when it began detecting the viruses threatening the VxD Windows 95 drivers.
NOD also handles the Java viruses, IRC worms, Trojan horses and other, increasingly common Internet infiltrations. Once the virus is detected, both algorithmic and heuristic cleaning is available. Wide scope of archive files (Zip, Arj and RAR, etc.) is subject to scanning as well.
Using NOD in the local area networks is easy and straightforward. The Centralized Update option allows the network administrator immediate update of all network computers. To avoid costly damages, NOD supports automatic sending of the warning messages regarding detected virus infiltration over the network to a set of predefined users/groups.
The memory resident anti-virus monitor - AMON, provides you with constant and automatic protection: virus detection and cleaning, with no need for the user's intervention. AMON represents an ideal and necessary protection for those using Internet and/or local area networks. In addition to the automatic on access scanning, the boot sectors can be checked upon system shutdown. |
